new tonight we start off with one of the hottest stories on our website a7 week old puppy stolen from an animal rescue griew. his name is mango. he hasn't been completely weaned from his mother. now there's a desperate search for him. >> reporter: here at the animal resource foundation on kent island they're dedicated to saving the lives of animals in need but somebody took advantage of their kindness. somebody stole this little guy's brother. that's right. someone stole one of the puppies as he lay next to his mother and siblings. someone came in spending 40 minutes with it acting as if they wanted to adopt one. >> the woman left, pulled the car up to the curb. the man left. the comment was, gosh, they must

have been in hurry. >> reporter: they were. they stole one of the puppies like they're a pack of gum. >> they're pocket size puppies. >> reporter: mango, as he's known around the rescue is only seven weeks old, still a couple weeks shy of being away from the mother. >> these puppies aren't completely weaned from their mother. we're concerned about the health of the puppy. >> reporter: lily, who volunteers here, can think of only one kind of person who would steal a puppy. >> sick -- sick, sick. really needs some psychological help. >> reporter: as upset as they are, they don't have any ill will toward those people. >> all we want is our puppy back, and we will not press charges ifou return that puppy.

apparently it's going to be an early winter. >> i always think to maryland's most powerful, satellites. we'll see how the predisix come -- prediction comes through. baltimore bill predicting a colder than average winter and maybe snow. we have new developments in a murder investigation that could have gone cold. 236-year-old eric pen der grass was found dead in 2009. police have made an arrest. 31-year-old sherell ferguson is facing murder charges. the cause of the death was ruled to be asphyxiation. ferguson is being held at central booking and awaiting trial. >> in a bid to head off confusion in the future, a carroll county commissioner has proposed making english the

showers. taneytown, westminster. and there's more scattered showers starting to fire up over west virginia. if you trace a line, looks like it will be into the city limits later tonight going into tomorrow morning. we'll have to keep an eye on the radar. at any point the storms could bubble up. a tornado chaser down in this cell over parts of east oklahoma. these bands of showers and embedded thunderstorms will be in our area. that will deliver the scattered showers. 86 in memphis. compare that to click at 63. that's where the front is currently located. future trend showing the spot showers through the course of tomorrow, tomorrow evening and on friday another band moves in our direction. be aware the next several days
